“It is a very particular photo, it portrays my father Romolo Felice (the dark-haired boy in overalls on the left) and other workers on the set of Ben Hur in the Cinecittà Studios in 1957. This is one of the two colossal statues (under demolition after filming ) present in the Circus Maximus during the famous chariot race.At the time my father was 17 years old (today he is 77) and in his very long career as an art craftsman he worked for the sets of the major blockbusters of those years and many others to come including all those by Fellini etc. etc.” Happy Calchi
