In una deserta Appia Antica un’automobile ferma a lato della strada è il soggetto, insieme a Porta San Sebastiano, di questa fotografia del 1930 circa. Porta San Sebastiano è forse la più bella e meglio conservata tra le antiche porte romane. Presumibilmente aperta in contemporanea con l’Appia Antica, oggi vi ha sede un piccolo museo che permette la passeggiata lungo le mura romane.
