In questa foto del 1944 del fotografo Carl Mydans per la rivista Life, vediamo due children sorridenti portare un sacco proprio in quel “Largo 16 ottobre 1943” tristemente noto per il rastrellamento degli ebrei ad opera dei tedeschi. Degli oltre 1000 adulti deportati vi erano anche 200 children. Di questi fecero ritorno solo 15 adulti.
