The usual unknown is a masterpiece by Monicelli from 1958. The following year the film was also nominated for an Oscar for best foreign film. Actors of the caliber of Vittorio Gassman, Marcello Mastroianni, Totò, Claudia Cardinale and Renato Salvatori, but also great supporting actors such as Carlo Pisacane (Capannelle) and Tiberio Murgia (Ferribotte), are the protagonists of this film which rightly remains in the history of Italian cinema. The photo, extracted from a frame from the film, shows us our “heroes”, after the theft gone wrong, at the moment of the dissolution of the gang. The location is that of Piazza Armenia and in the background on the left Via Concordia, on the right Via Acaia.
