In the background we can recognize Trajan’s Column, the churches of Santa Maria di Loreto and Santissimo Nome di Maria, while in the foreground above the still buried Forum of Trajan, a goat is resting with his family and animals in tow. The photo well represents how the countryside still came very naturally into the city. It is owned by the Alinari brothers and dates back to around 1890.

Use the central handle to move the curtain and see the two superimposed images. If it should not be totally visible, it is possible to put it in full screen with the button at the top right of the image.
Good evening to the editors of the page.. this representation is truly fascinating, like many others. I was talking to max (from the Trastevere app page) about the technique of overlapping photos visible with a sliding curtain (a technique that I had already admired on an American site a few years ago, but whose link I have no memory of) I would like to have information on the program to use it also for some of my photos. Max suggests that I try to ask Andrea Dorglinguzzo for info who, if it is not confidential information, can satisfy my curiosity. Anyway, thanks in advance and my warmest congratulations for your page which I have been following with interest for some time.
