The images can be navigated both with the mouse and using the controls at the top left, putting them in full screen with the fourth button from the left the experience will be even more satisfying. To exit full screen, press the same key again or the esc key on the keyboard. If you are on a smartphone and want to navigate horizontally, first you have to rotate the phone and then enter full screen mode. In the case of multiple images, use the left/right arrows to scroll through the images.
the photo is not true, photomontages have been made, you can see the river disappearing and the "penny" bridge (iron bridge) is placed in the wrong place, my family has been in piazza della Rovere since 1920, and photos I have several from the time. However a good job is always nice to see our Rome...
Dear Marie Antoinette no montage, believe me. The river does not disappear, it is only covered by houses and what you see is not the so-called bridge of the penny, but the bridge of the Alari, also in iron, but with a totally different structure. Built in 1889 as an alternative to the Sant'Angelo bridge and demolished in 1911 with the construction of the Vittorio bridge. Here you can find news: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponte_degli_Alari Good evening. :)
