After 1945 the first stretch of via dell’Impero was renamed “Via dei Fori Imperiali”. On June 2, the military parade for the feast of the Italian Republic takes place.
Although the extent and relevance of the ruins underlying the fascist demolitions is known from historical sources, the land on which the Alessandrino district stood was at the time simply leveled, reburying roadways, Renaissance foundations and underlying Roman walls. (wiki)
